This coat uses an original triple-layered fabric with cotton warp threads and different weft threads for the surface, middle, and lining.

The wool on the surface is woven finely and densely to prevent wind from entering, while the silk spun yarn (kenbōchūshi/ochiwata) on the lining absorbs moisture well and feels soft against the skin. The middle layer uses a fluffy, spongy wool single yarn as the weft, allowing the yarn to expand fully and serve as padding.

Made only from natural fibers, this coat aims for the same level of cold protection and comfort as high-performance synthetic fiber padding. The sashiko stitching visible on the surface is expressed through weaving, and silk spun yarn is used for these threads to create a unique texture.

The pattern is designed with a generous width and sleeve width for a relaxed fit. The alignment of the fabric grain from the front edge to the attached collar brings out the texture of the sashiko weave. It has large pockets on both sides and comes with a string that utilizes the selvedge of the fabric.

Available in natural color and sizes 1 to 3. It's a haori style without front buttons, but when you want to fasten it on a cold day, it's recommended to wear a shoulder bag diagonally. (Some people stylishly use a stole as a belt!)
