Antique 9ct Gold Bronze Mizpah Lovers Brooch Pin c1890 Superb Quality

It is so nice to see that brooches are increasing in popularity as they are one of the most versatile pieces of jewellery you could have. Nowadays they are used to adorn both men's and women's outfits - see Tulsa King for men wearing brooches. Mizpah brooches have always very popular however and this is an excellent example. ABOUT THIS BROOCH Constructed from solid 9ct yellow and rose gold (375 parts per 1000) front with a bronze reverse. Dates to end of the 19th Century (c1890s) The style is classic Victorian, of very detailed construction and super high quality. There is wonderful detailing and the full Mizpah verse quoted. Fastens with a bronze hinged pin and C hook clasp - all in good order. Condition is very good, especially considering its age. Length is 39mm. Width is 20.5 mm. It sits 8.3 mm proud. Weight is 6 grams rounded UP to nearest (I do not sell items of this quality by weight anyways) You would expect to pay between £450 and £800 for a brooch like this at a fancy antique shop, depending on your ability to hunt down a bargain. CONDITION REPORT Many of my brooches are VERY old and have some signs of this. I ensure they are fully operational and can be worn from arrival but I do not like polishing them to "as new" because I feel this detracts from their history. I will consider doing so, for a small fee, if you ask nicely ;-) I guarantee all items to be as described and will accept a return on anything you are not happy with.
