I recently acquired this in a box of items gifted to me. So I don't know it's full history but looking on internet, it seems it's vintage poss antique? Circa 1930/40's. It looks like brass? has a slight gold colour but someone mentioned could be silver plated as that was common then. Cute design almost like shape of a heart, small ball feet on each corner. Has patina which is to be expected, I haven't polished or scrubbed it as I don't want to spoil the genuine age, ideal if you want something original, retro etc.
