This listing is for a beautiful sterling silver, black enamel and marcasite brooch. Love the unusual openwork design; typically butterflies are depicted straight on with both wings visible. This piece is more dynamic capturing the butterfly in flight. The brooch is visually delicate, but well made and sturdy. It measures just roughly 1 3/4 x 1 1/4". It is marked 925 and initials MT on the back side.

The piece is in nice vintage condition, but by no means is it perfect. :-) No marcasites are missing. As we all have our own preferences in regards to surface finishes we like on our jewelry, I will not be doing any cleaning/polishing of this piece. I'll leave that decision to the buyer.
