The art of Raku originated in Japan in the 16th Century. Now Raku Pottery has become a general term for a type of ceramic technique that is globally known and practiced.
Each piece is removed from a kiln at 950 degrees C and placed in sawdust. Slight imperfections may occur as part of the glazing process. Each piece is unique.
