This beautiful Cloche style “Excello” hat is by Mr John Classic New York/Paris. Made of 100% wool, the hat has a 3/4” wide stitched band with a two tassel detailing on one side. The outside rim has double stitching all around. The inside of the hat has green ribbon all around the rim with a large Mr John Classic New York Paris label attached. The hat is stamped 100% wool in the interior center with “Excello” Made in USA & Geo W Bollman & Co Inc, who founded the Bollman Hat Company of Pennsylvania in 1868. The hat can be worn with the back curled up or completely down. Dimensions 9” long, 8” high, 7” wide interior, 21 3/4” circumference. Exact age of hat is not known but it’s believed to be from 1940’s to early 1950’s. Being all wool, it does attract light dust which can be wiped off. It is in beautiful antique vintage condition with no tears, rips, holes & no signs of wear or discoloration to interior green ribbon rim. See all photos.
