Deruta Raffaellesco Series Rooster Pitcher was made in Italy for Williams Sonoma. This beautiful Italian rooster pitcher is great for using at a brunch or for decor. Beautiful old world, Italian design on the sides of the rooster. The Deruta Raffaellesco series features a dragon, it was inspired by master painter Raphael's 16th century frescoes. This dragon symbolizes a deity who appeared as a sea creature and had rescued sailors out at sea. It is believed that having a Raffaellesco piece in your home brings blessings and good luck.
There are a few glaze chips on the rim of the rooster pitcher but otherwise is great shape. Original owner, I have mostly used it for display. It has never been in the dishwasher so glaze remains bright and vibrant. Original Williams Sonoma sticker on the bottom. It measures 8 1/2” high, 6 1/2” wide and 4 1/2” diameter at center.
