Cut Coin State Quarter
Cut Coin State Quarter Texas 2019 San Antonio Missions US Jewelry Necklace
The San Antonio Missions State Quarter is a coin minted by the United
States Mint as part of the 50 State Quarters program. It was released in
2019 and features an image of two of the historic missions in San
Antonio, Texas, including the mission of San Antonio de Valero (also
known as the Alamo) and the mission of San Francisco de la Espada. The
inscriptions on the coin include "Texas," "San Antonio Missions," and "E
Pluribus Unum."
The design celebrates the rich cultural heritage of San
Antonio and the important role that the missions played in the city's
development. The missions were established in the 18th century by
Spanish Catholic missionaries to convert the indigenous people of the
region to Christianity and to protect Spanish interests in the area.
They are now recognized as UNESCO World Heritage sites and are among the
most important cultural landmarks in Texas. The coin serves
