Signed Wm A Rogers silverplate spoon produced for the 1933 Century of Progress in Chicago Illinois.
The spoon has an image of Fort Dearborn in the bowl, the word CHICAGO and a tower or tall building mid handle,
1933, The I WILL Woman, Century of Progress and the World Logo on the front top. The back says 'Travel and Transportation Building"
with an image of the building and is signed WM A ROGERS.

The 'I WILL' woman was born of a newspaper contest 1891 contest sponsored by The Chicago Inter Ocean newspaper. Chicago artist Charles Holloway was the first-place winner of the contest, inspired by the city’s preparations for the 1893 World’s Fair, but not sponsored by the Fair.
The Inter Ocean challenged artists to come up with “a figure typical of Chicago’s spirit" to represent the city. They enlisted a panel of judges that included famed cartoonist Thomas Nast and the president of the Fair’s board of lady managers, Bertha Palmer, Wife of Potter Palmer - an American businessman
