This collectible vintage Federal Tool nut grinder was a staple in the early 20th century kitchen. The grinder mechanism has teeth that are connected to a metal key form hand crank. When the key is turned the teeth rotate through slots and chop up nuts or herbs. The metal grinder portion of the piece screws onto the glass jar and has a red metal cap. The grinder mechanism is not painted. The glass jar itself has a decorative embossed ripple pattern.

The grinder is in Excellent vintage condition considering the age. The original swirl glass jar is in very good condition with minimal wear. The metal handle rotates freely and the grinder operates without any problems.

The grinder stands 6" tall and measures 3.25" at its widest point (4" from the end of the key to the opposite side of the cap) and is 2" wide at the mouth of the jar.
