This larger, richly illustrated geography text explores the relationship between natural resources, labor, and industry across the globe. With chapters on forest workers, miners, communication, trade, and world industry, it offers a sweeping view of how human work and natural resources shape civilization. Includes vivid black-and-white and color illustrations, plus detailed maps and charts. Geography of the Americas is also currently available.

Overall fair to good condition:

• Cover: marks/fading and wear at edges and corners (bumped)
• Spine: marks/fading and wear at ends
• Pages: wear typical for vintage school book with some writing/underlining, age marks, foxing, folded corners and small tears. Writing/foxing and/or prior owner's name on pastedown and/or end papers. When flipping through pages, most appear clean.
