This Art Deco era porcelain trinket dish features the iconic "sunset" lusterware design of peach and blue iridescent stripes. Hand-painted white cherry blossoms with raised yellow centers decorate the center of the pearlescent glaze, which provides a beautiful rainbow shimmer. The underside features a charming vintage black ink backstamp that appears to say "Made in Hapan" due to a common period misprint where the "J" was incorrectly stamped. This piece is a wonderful example of Japanese export porcelain from the 1920s or 1930s. Please see photos for the unique misprinted backstamp and the light vintage wear to the delicate luster finish.
