NWT 1950’s collectible Petite Belle “Ladies’ full-length stockings, 100% nylon, first quality.” Distributed by Woolworth/Woolco, NY, NY. The sticker on this original package reads, “Cinnamon (color), run-resist, nude heel” (which back in the day I discovered meant that the heel was sheer with no distinguishable reinforcement.) The original price: a whopping 49 cents. Size: 10.
The photo on the front is so ‘50s, and the back further designates it as a collectible.with “Petite Belle stockings will give you greater leg comfort and freedom,” and more. Either way, it’s a piece of fashion history from over 70 years ago.
