Vintage 1950s Homer Laughlin Teacup & Saucer Republic Peonies & Moss Rose Motif

For your consideration is this vintage teacup and saucer set produced by Homer Laughlin. The backside of the saucer is marked and reads "(HLC) / HOMER LAUGHLIN / MADE IN USA / D 53 N 6". Please note, the date code is a little blurry and the year isn't clear. I believe it reads "D 53 N 6" (D = April, 53 = Year, N = Newell Potteries, 6 = Plant Number). These are done in HLC's "Republic" shape and has the motif of Replacements' Pattern number HLC2252 which is a lovely spray of peonies, moss rose and blue flowers. It has a platinum ring and motif. The teacup measures 3.6 inches in diameter x 2.3 inches tall. There are a few small abrasions on the platinum ring, but otherwise, in lovely vintage condition. The saucer measures 5.8 inches in diameter. There is a dark spot on the edge underneath the glaze, but otherwise in lovely vintage condition as well. I did not observe crazing on either piece. Such a lovely set for HLC Dinnerware Collectors.
