For your consideration is this vintage trinket box made in Japan most likely during the 1960s. This lovely piece is beautifully embossed with a colonial style dancing couple scene. She is wearing a lovely period style dress, and a large wig. He is wearing a Colonial styled jacket, shirt, tights and shoes, while holding his hat. The sides of the box are also embossed with a floral design. The lid is hinged and opens up to reveal a beautiful red velvet type of material. The bottom is embossed "Made In Japan" in a rectangle block. The box stands on four feet. The piece came with a bit of patina. It polished up nicely but a little remains. I have re-adhered the red lining to the box. It measures 3.18 inches long x 2.37 inches wide x 1.83 inches high. This is absolutely perfect to house an engagement ring for proposals in or any other jewelry gift. Additionally, this is perfect for you Colonial styled boudoir.
