Welta Kamerawerks was a German camera manufacturer founded in 1914, known for producing high-quality, medium-priced folding cameras. The company was based in Dresden and produced a variety of models, including the Weltax, Weltur, and Penti.
Folding cameras were popular before 35mm film cameras became dominant, and were designed to be compact and portable.
This is a medium format model, which would use 120 film to produce negatives larger than 35mm film.
