This is a hand woven lidded basket made in Occupied Japan. It's made of rattan and has a center loop handle. Hinges are coiled wire. This decorative storage will add farmhouse chic or boho vibes to any setting. Basket measures 7½ in. w. x 6¼ in. deep x 5½ in. high. A sticker on the base of the basket reads, "Made in Occupied Japan"; circa 1945-52. Condition: wrapped closure needs repair (see pic #3). This condition is reflected in the price. Otherwise, basket is in very good vintage shape.
