This is an authentic vintage credit card charge plate issued in 1955 for the Campbell Soup Company. The aluminum imprint plate is personalized to B & N H. Dietrich of Kempton RD 2, Pennsylvania and comes housed in its original brown leather holder embossed “Campbell Soup Co." Included is the original paper insert reading “Present with each Delivery to Campbell Soup Company – 1955." These charge plates were used by delivery drivers and traveling salesmen prior to modern plastic credit cards. A great piece of mid-century corporate, advertising, and Pennsylvania history.
