Japanese Hon-Kaya 5-sun Go board (4 sun 5 bu 5 rin) Omote-ita (face-up board)
《Origin》 Shikoku
This Go board is made from Hon-Kaya (Japanese Kaya) from Kochi Prefecture, naturally dried for over 10 years, processed, and then aged for about 25 years.
It is a natural finish (partially colored) Omote-ita.
Since it is unused, there are no playing marks.
Some of the grid lines and star points are slightly faded, but it is still perfectly usable.
There is a small crack on the top surface.
There are shallow scratches on the top surface.
There are small cracks, plugged repairs, and coloring on both ends of the wood.
There is a branch knot on one end of the wood.
There is a small crack on one side.
There are small knots and plugged repairs on the back.
The legs are 1-step Kuri legs (not chestnut, but Japanese Hon-Kaya) are attached.
The legs are in good condition, but there are small scratches and stains.
There is no wobbling on a flat surface.
