Up for sale is a beautiful set of three (3) vintage Japanese porcelain mugs in the traditional "Old Imari" style. These pieces were produced by the renowned Kozan Gama (Arata Kiln) and feature a vibrant palette of underglaze cobalt blue with overglaze iron red and exquisite gold gilded accents.
Design Details:
The intricate patterns include traditional floral medallions featuring peonies and plum blossoms, set against classic geometric backgrounds like the shippo-tsunagi (seven treasures) and asanoha (hemp leaf) motifs.
Condition & Size:
Dimensions: Each stands 4 tall with a 2 7/8 diameter opening.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Two mugs are pristine. One mug shows minor, light wear on the gold rim (see photos). No chips, cracks, or crazing.
Care: Hand wash only; not microwave safe due to gold content.
