Vintage 70’s Polish nazwa carved mahogany wood box. Traditional folk art features carved and polished wood with inlaid brass detailing. Rare motif depicts the Syrenka Warszawska (Warsaw Mermaid), a fierce protector with a sword and shield, symbolizing the city's resilience, who emerged from the Baltic Sea, traveled up the Vistula River, and pledged to defend Warsaw after local fishermen freed her from a greedy merchant.
