In the brilliant Autumn night in New Hampshire the stars illuminate the mountain tops. Barney and Betty Hill, returning home from a vacation, make a roadside stop to allow their dog to walk-and to take a closer look at a bright light in the sky that Barney takes to be a satellite gone astray.
