Authentic 19th-century European copper basin, hand-hammered with a heavy brass strengthening collar.
The interior is solid copper with visible hand-hammer marks, showing a beautiful aged patina consistent with well-used antique kitchen or utility ware. The copper basin is securely set into the brass collar using original riveted retaining tabs. These tabs are structural, not mounting hardware.
This piece would have originally been used as a large kitchen or utility basin—for food preparation, washing, or general household use—common in European homes, farm kitchens, inns, or similar working environments.
