Hand-painted Metal Ambabari Elephant Figurine Meenakari Enameling

This metal Ambabari elephant is a traditional Indian decorative figurine depicting an elephant with a howdah (ceremonial seat) on its back, symbolizing royal processions, power, and wisdom. Often crafted in Rajasthan they are also known as Ambari elephants, Meenakari elephants, or Howdah elephants, and are adorned with vibrant, intricate, hand-painted Meenakari enameled patterns. Believed to attract positive energy, wealth, prosperity, and luck, especially when placed in the north or northeast direction. Measures 4.75"L x 2"W x 6.25"H. In good condition, missing a little bit of paint from one of the tusks (see last photo).
