A very vibrant red tomato ball jug made in the 1940s by the Stanford Pottery Company in Sebring, Ohio
Part of a set called "Tomato Ware"
They also produced Strawberry and Corn sets
There is a flea bite (pictured) on rim by handle, looks like manufacturer defect, and some red cold paint loss on rim
Some crazing on bottom of jug
