Craftsman Bench Vise Model 381-5180 - 3 1/2" Jaws

Just slapping some paint on a vise is not restoring it. This bench vise was disassembled, all parts were cleaned, any rust was removed (which was non-existent on this vise), polished unpainted surfaces, greased, primed with etching primer, and painted with Rust-Oleum paint. The parts were inspected for damage, cracks, and unruly casting imperfections, which I would have filed down. This particular vise had no cracks or anything out of the ordinary that needed repair.

This vise is not for show. It's a tool, and it is meant to be used.

Opens and closes with one finger.....smooth.
Machined surfaces have a light clear coat for rust protection.
