This vintage chunky sterling silver ring features a piece of reconstituted turquoise which sits flush with the setting. Reconstituted turquoise is genuine turquoise crushed to powder and mixed with resin to form cabochons that can be cut and set into jewelry. The shank is adorned with grooves on either side. The silver is not quite smooth on the inside of the band and features small imperfections, including a small burr (see photos). The rectangular face measures 17.4mm long by 10.5mm wide. The band measures 4.4mm wide by 1.3mm thick.

This ring is vintage (pre-1970) & pre-owned and shows signs of wear. The ring is not stamped to indicate metal purity but I tested the band with a GTE acid test. The results (red) indicate sterling silver. The metal is also not magnetic.
