Vintage Mexican folk art Colima dancing dogs sculpture, in a pre-Columbian style.
The figurines depict two dogs in an embrace, often referred to as "dancing dogs".
This style is characteristic of the ancient shaft tomb traditions of the Colima culture in West Mexico, dating back to around 200 BCE–200 CE.
The original ancient figures are believed to represent the Xoloitzquintle (Mexican hairless dog), a breed prized by ancient peoples.
