Antique Cranberry & Milk Glass Bristol Bell, circa mid-late 1800s. Glass is in excellent condition, no cracks or chips. Still shines bright, no cloudiness or staining. Measures 14" tall.
This is a spectacular, hard to find piece! The beauty of the old craftsmanship & fact it's lasted for so many years intact is incredible. The compound used to attach the handle to the bell can be seen in photos. No clapper present.
Collage photo, taken under 365nm UV lighting, shows the manganese glow. Manganese was added to glass manufactured prior to the 1940's. This is just ONE way to validate the age of glass. Not all "magic glow" is uranium ;)
