Available for purchase is a charming pair of antique German composition cow figurines. These are classic examples of "Putz" style farm animals, hand-crafted in Germany during the interwar period (circa 1920-1935).
Key Details:
Material: Early composition (sawdust/glue/plaster mix) with hand-painted details.
Origin: Both figures are stamped "Germany" in red ink on the underside.
Design: Traditional red and white (brownish-red) spotted pattern with black hooves. Features include molded ears, hand-painted eyes, and original wire/twine tails.
Condition: Good antique condition with age-appropriate wear. There is some minor paint loss and fine crazing/cracking inherent to composition toys of this age (please see photos for close-up details).
