Vintage Porcelain Victorian Colonial Man With Basket Flowers And Dog 9"

Rare find: This Item is hard to come by. This is a very nice mid 20th century, (specifically the occupied Japan period) porcelain representation of a colonial or Victorian era gentleman holding a basket of flowers and accompanied by a small black and white dog. The gentleman is wearing a pink and light blue coat, green and white striped trousers and a tricorn hat. With its detailed hand painted finish and depiction of 18th century fashion. This piece mimics more expensive antique German and Italian figurines. There are touches of gold gilting on the man's tricorn hat, neck scarf, sleeves, pants and the base. This piece is in great vintage condition. No chips, nicks, chips, cracks or crazing. It is marked on the base Japan. Measures 9 3/8 inches tall. Non-smoking pet free home.
