The Monkees were an American pop-rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1966. They were created for the television show of the same name, which aired from 1966 to 1968. Despite their manufactured origins, the band achieved significant commercial success with their music, releasing numerous hit singles and albums.
"Daydream Believer" was one of The Monkees' most successful songs, released in 1967. It reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and became one of their signature tunes. The song was written by John Stewart and produced by Jeff Barry. This particular release is a Japanese pressing, indicated by the text on the sleeve and label, and features the Arista record label.
