Vintage Ducastaing Armagnac Bottle Decanter in Metal Stirrup Bottle Holder with Leather Strap, Made in France. The bottle and holder are in good vintage condition, but they are dirty. I will leave it to buyer to decide whether to clean or keep in untouched condition. Bottle has a cork stopper that I have not attempted to remove. Bottle is empty. Metal stirrup holder measures approximately 7.75" tall x 6.5" wide. The bottle measures approximately 8.5" tall x 5.75" wide (about 9.5" tall in stirrup, not including strap).
The metal stirrup bottle holder is marked on the neck at the top with a fleur-de-lis, and on the back of the neck "Made in France." It is marked at the bottom of the front "Ducastaing Armagnac," and on the bottom "Fonderies, Lafond, St. Germain Des Pres, Loiret France." The green glass bottle itself is marked near the top front "Federeal Law Forbids Sale or Re-use of This Bottle," and near the bottom back "Grand Armagnac Ducastaing, Vic-Fezensac Gers-France."
