For your consideration is this set of two oval diner plates produced by Homer Laughlin China Company. The bottom's of both are stamped "HOMER LAUGHLIN (LOGO) U.S.A. YD." The "YD" is the date code and was assigned to April of 1984. These plates feature an oval shape and a wide chocolate brown rim. These are smaller in size than a standard dinner plate and measure 8.5 inches long x 6.75 inches wide x 1 inch tall, and weigh 15.3 ounces each. These plates are oven proof, machine washable and have a rolled edge design to prevent chipping. Honestly, this is the only type of china that holds up in seller's household. With a vintage appeal, these oval plates are a decorative piece for all occasions, adding a touch of nostalgia to any dining table.
