Antique flow blue plate, hand painted violets on white porcelain, pierced (reticulated) edges with raised detail and gold floral and ribbon trim. 11” x 8”.
Produced by Victoria Carlsbad of Austria from the early 1900’s. Lovely condition, some of the gold is worn from age, back is unglazed, and it may have been used for a wall display. It is common to find flecks of blue on the back with flow technique pottery.
Suitable for use for table or display, or a dresser tray with a protective cloth on its surface. Hand washing in warm water with mild detergent is recommended, to preserve colors and gold.
