Antique blue and white floral meat dish

Copeland late Spode blue and white porcelain meat flow dish The item pictured is a blue and white porcelain Copeland late Spode transferware flow meat dish, It is a large, rectangular serving platter featuring a detailed floral transferware pattern in blue on a white background. Key features include: Manufacturer: Copeland, later known as Copeland & Garrett or W.T. Copeland, which produced wares under the "Late Spode" mark. With the embossed crown showing I believe from my research it's letting us know that it's bone china. The only other option would be porcelain. These were apparently the only materials used by Copeland and Spode at the time. The dish has a distinctive all-over floral pattern with a decorative border and a central design featuringz various flowers and foliage. This is the largest one I've come across in this design, Which does show from border where the parts don't meet. It feels soft it feels elegant. It feels quality. It is a "flow meat dish" or platter, designed with grooves (sometimes called a "well and tree" pattern if they drain into a well, (of which these appear to be elegant flowing grooves) to collect juices from roasted meats. The item appears to be in very good condition, consistent with the description. Copeland produced blue and white transferware extensively during the Victorian era and into the 20th century. This style is typical of mid-19th to early 20th-century production.
