Beautiful Vintage Hand-Carved Indian Sheesham Wood Trinket Box A charming vintage wooden keepsake box, featuring intricate hand-tapped brass wire and star/heart inlay work (Tarkashi). This is a classic mid-to-late 20th-century piece, likely made in the famous woodworking region of Saharanpur, India. Details: Material: Solid Sheesham wood (Indian Rosewood) with brass inlay. Design: Intricate floral/mandala pattern on the lid with decorative brass dots and hearts along the front. Features: Raised on four original carved bun feet with a brass flip-latch (hasp) for closure. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The wood has a rich, warm grain and the brass has a lovely aged patina. Still retains its original "Made in India" vintage sticker on the base.
