This is a stunning example of mid-century elegance from Saks Fifth Avenue. Crafted from a high-quality, textured black leather (likely Morocco calfskin), this structured frame bag features a striking "architectural" gold-tone clasp with a triple-ribbed design. It is the epitome of quiet luxury.
The purse appears unused. It is lined in a clean, black ribbed silk or acetate fabric and includes the original white fabric Saks Fifth Avenue script label. It is pristine inside.
The leather remains supple and the frame is snappy and secure.
Note a few white specks on the front of the purse. I cleaned it with saddle soap but they did not come off. Please look closely at the first and last photos. After cleaning with saddle soap, I moisturized it with CPR leather conditioner and used a horse hairbrush to buff it.
