Lovely vintage glass peacock bird ornament, I believe from Germany in the 1940s, with nicely molded detail
- Silvered body is embossed with feathers, ridges, and bumps
- Dark green, rust, red, and orange colors enhance the design. These colors are indicative of the post war era, as the bright color formulas or prior years were lost in the war
- Glass is very thin and fine, typical of this era of German glass
- Cap is included
- Silvering is still nice with with some wear
- Pike or neck has a break, but is still usable with the cap on
- Great gift for the vintage Christmas or bird lover!
Please note:
- All listed ornaments have some breakage along the top edges
- Some have caps, some have hooks, some have both - may have been switched over the years
