Vintage Candle Holder, Wire Sculpture Poss Danish Laurids Lonberg c1960/70s

Wonderful mid century candle holder in the style of or possibly by Danish designer, Laurids Lonborg. This fab candlestick was made in around the 1960/70s. In the form of two acrobats - one balancing on the other's knees, bearing 2 metal candle holders. Sculpted from black coated metal, with seagrass bindings. The metal figures and design are very sturdy. Please note that this is a used vintage item and I'm selling it primarily as a designer sculptural art object rather than a candlestick. The 'spikes' to hold a candle in place are still in place - these are often missing as the metal spike is very thin and tended to break off. Please note that this is a weakness in the manufacture and only buy this on the understanding that this might happen and you are happy to take the risk. The seagrass is in good condition. There are a few small areas of black paint loss, revealing the grey metal underneath. Please see photos for examples of paint loss and for overall condition.
