Beautiful Bienen-Davis oversize purse featuring a floral applique design in black velvet. Inside are a faux tortoise shell plastic comb and small mirror (mirror marked Bienen-Davis) and a little coin purse attached to the bag with a cord as shown. Interior feels satiny and has plenty of pockets. Handle looks like vinyl.
Hardware: Gold-tone metal frame with lift/push-lock clasp
Size is a whopping 16 1/4" wide, 3 1/2" deep and 6" high excluding handle -- handle adds a another 4 1/2".
Condition is good overall, almost pristine inside with light overall wear consistent with age on exterior. I believe the light areas of the velvet are intentional and part of the design because they are similar on both sides. The nap of the velvet is actually removed in these areas.
So elegant and unusual!
