To make it easy to hold, the shape is designed to be widest slightly closer to the tip than the center.
The wood has been sanded from coarse to 600 grit. This gives it a moderate shine while still allowing you to feel the natural texture of the wood.
The surface has been cut repeatedly, checking to ensure there are no irregularities.
The finish uses Kinu Oil. The main ingredient is rice-derived, tasteless, odorless, and gentle on the skin.

Also known as: Ziricote
A hardwood of the Burseraceae family, characterized by a mottled pattern like a fine ink wash painting.
It has a pattern very similar to black persimmon, and although it is not a persimmon tree, it is said to have come to be called "Siamese (Thailand) persimmon."
Can be changed to a mechanical pencil.
If using mechanical pencil hardware, the weight will be reduced by approximately 5g.
