AZ Press Co material column extraction filters are made of 100% food grade nylon monofilament mesh. Each filter has a drawstring to cinch the filter shut at the top. Our material column filters are sized to fit extraction columns as tightly as possible within the columns. The benefits of a larger tighter fitting sock allow for you to add more material which also helps prevent channeling within the material inside the filters. Channeling is caused by the material having too much free space to move around within the column. When channeling occurs, chemicals are not flowing evenly through the material which can result in a lower quality product and yield.
