Here is a watch from Croton that is in superb shape (NWOT) and is kinetic motion. Once you set time, wind the knob a few times to start the watch, place on your wrist and then go! The movement of your arm will charge up the watch. On the back is a skeleton view (so you can watch the unit keep time) and it says the following:
"10 ATM 330 Feet Water Resistant Stainless Steel Sapphire Crystal Swiss Automatic Movement."
This is not made in Japan; it is all Swiss parts made in the USA. I had the box and papers at one time but they were lost. I am calling this NWOT. Original retail of this item was $1000
