EMD GP38-2 DCC Ready Diesel Locomotive - MISSOURI PACIFIC™ #959 without Dynamic Brakes - HO Scale. Constructed between 1972 and 1986, the GP38-2 was one of EMD’s most successful diesel-electric road switchers. Featuring many of the same hallmarks found on other EMD road switchers, the type was the successor to the standard GP38, featuring modernized electronics and an updated prime mover. The GP38-2 was a firm favorite of many railroads both large and small, thanks to its reliability and standardized design, which allowed for ease of maintenance. The model arrives DCC-ready with E-Z Mate® knuckle couplers, operating headlights, and a factory-installed 8-pin socket for the decoder installation of your choice.
