1/43 McLaren MP4/17D K. Raikkonen "1st WIN"

This McLaren MP4/17D was originally intended to be used until the new MP4/18, designed for the 2003 season, was ready for actual racing. However, the MP4/18 was abandoned due to its failure to pass crash tests and its poor reliability, and as a result, the MP4/17 ended up being used until the end of the season.

When the season began, the machine troubles that had plagued the MP4/17 were drastically reduced, and Kimi Räikkönen achieved his first victory at the Malaysian Grand Prix, the second race of the season. He then went on to stand on the podium in 9 out of 15 races, and showed great performance, competing with Michael Schumacher for the title until the final Japanese Grand Prix, marking his entry into the top drivers in his third year of debut.

This is a model of the car from the Malaysian Grand Prix, the second race of the season, where K. Räikkönen achieved his first F1 victory. The model features an impressive depiction of Räikkönen raising both hands high from inside the cockpit.
