This incredible sculpture to add to any collection of interesting and unusual pieces.
Made in the Philippines, this unique & beautiful piece features a Pueblo Indian woman (American Southwest) sitting on a straw bale holding a clay pot wrapped in rawhide leather which can sit in her lap, or be positioned beside her.
She is dressed in a faded green full-length dyed and hand painted robe made of cotton cloth. Her dress is faded in areas and show age appropriate wear with a few rough areas. This beauty is hand crafted from hand-pulped abaca and rice straw paper. 12” tall, 10.5” wide
Her earrings, face, hands, and feet look to be constructed of clay or ceramic, as they are cool to the touch. All fingers and toes are intact. The green feather adorning her head has been replaced.
Original tags are attached describing her heritage and origin with a number assigned. The rest of her story is unknown other than she is beautiful.
Item will be ship in 3 pieces, sculpture, bowl, and feather.
