Vintage California Pottery Sierra Vista Ceramics Yellow Train Cookie Jar, 1950s

This whimsical vintage train cookie jar is from the 1950s and is stamped "California SC" on the bottom. It is believed to be from Sierra Vista Ceramics in Pasadena, CA. It is hand painted to resemble a yellow steam engine locomotive, with an anthropomorphic face and lid with a smoke stack that doubles as a handle.
Measures approx.9 long x 7 wide x 7.5" tall. 32 ounce capacity.
Condition: This cookie jar is in good vintage condition. There is crazing throughout the the item. The red paint on the top and for the mouth are on-top of the glazing and have faded as a result. The only chips are around the top edge and they are minor. There is one defect on the lid, a drop of orange paint that is underneath the glazing. The discoloration on the inside is also under the glazing. It appears that the smoke stack handle was damaged at some point, as there is a repair. Please inspect the photos for the full condition.
