O'Shanter was said to be a drunken farmer who ran into witches who pursue him and his horse, and he would try and get away. The Falconer was once called the sports of Kings. The bird on the handle is a bird of prey who was trained to hunt. This tradition began in China over 3000 years ago. These are handmade and hand decorated character jugs. The large O'Shanter is 7" tall & the small Falconer is 3.75". Excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or scratches. No original box or paperwork included. Last original retail price for both is $225.00.
