I do not know how to clean inside of the watch to help numbers read 'darker'. The Instar Solid State Men's Digital Watch from the 1970s features a classic design with a gold bezel and case. The watch has a solid dial with Arabic numerals. The 38mm case size is round. With new batteries and a fixed gold bezel, this digital watch is in partial running condition. I do not know how to program watch but can toggle between stop watch and clock time. At times, the numbers are light in color - see picture of time at 10:37. Watch needs servicing - I do not know how or would even try!
